That was the case back in 2010.

 

We are now using pre-recorded voices.

 

Why else is the Aerosoft-MCE package 1.2 GB big.

Apologies for my getting that wrong (did I mention I was new on the airliner territory?) and am glad you spotted my post and corrected it.  Am looking forward to trying out your latest on the AXE.

Hi another question RE the airbus version. I have been through the Windows 7 64 speech recognition as well as the MCE speech tutorials. I am using a Triton Pro headset, the microphone tune up works ok. But when I load up the AXE in FSX and get the red text confirmation message that MCE is ready plus the co pilot is listening in the GUI my co pilot doesn't do anything I ask him just silence.

I am using the Airbus v 1.16 and the airbus MCE ver 1.15.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Make sure the speech engine is using the correct mike input.

 

Click Start->All Programs->Multi Crew experience->Tools->Assign sound device.

 

The tool window will appear.

 

Select the relevant device from the list for both input and output and click OK.

 

The wizard will then set things up automatically.

 

Go to <About> tab of the MCE user interface, and you should see which devices are currently used for input and output.

Ok, I've set up the mic in assign sound device, I'll double check that though, it makes sense.
