October 30, 201312 yr but I say it nonetheless... It's a wonderful looking, well and solidly built and stable set. You just have to know that you need a pro-wrestler right arm for a very stiff joystick ^_^. The Hall effect sensors make very precise adjustments to your flight parameters and that was one of the reason of my choice. It delivers. My main gripe is that, contrary to what I thought (I should've checked first...), it seems that there are very, very few resources for it : no ready-made profiles for FSX and no users forums ! You've to build yourself your own profiles which is not fun even if it is not the nightmare that the CH HOTAS is. If any of you guys is aware of such a resource, I'd be glad to know it ! I begin to make a profile for a single prop aircraft with propeller and mixture controls, retractable gear to use with the Cub, the Legacy and A2A warbids. Have done the trims, the gear (not the P40 yet) and the cockpit zoom so far. The ATC and panels windows are still a little reluctant to come up... My big question would be, for those having the set, how did you program the prop and mixture controls ? Looking forward to hear from the Warthog gurus, hints, clues and advices  Dominique Simming since 1981 - [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam
October 30, 201312 yr I fly a relatively wide variety of aircraft in FSX with the Thrustmaster HOTAS, from single to multi engine, from MIL to GA, from jet to piston. Instead of using the Thrustmaster software, I use FSUIPC and LINDA exclusively for joystick/button assignment. It sounds a bit complicated but overall allows me to jump into any plane and have the controls set up. Highly recommend the software combo. The short, more direct answer to your question about the prop/mixture is "use FSUIPC". I have the left throttle lever as prop control, the right throttle lever as throttle, and the gray friction slider set as mixture/condition. Good luck with the Warthog. November 3, 201312 yr If you use the hog on a desk off to the side then this is not too relevant.. If you have some setup that allows you to use it center mounted or to the side a bit lower then an extension is a really nice thing to have. It takes that wrist wrestling away and makes it more of an arm movement than a wristy movement. It makes the stick a lot more precise.

November 4, 201312 yr I once saw an extention where the guy had the stick mounted on the floor with a pole attached to it. It seemed to work well. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
