November 1, 201312 yr I'm in 2D view and when I try to zoom or dolly left or right, the outside moves (very slowly) but not my cockpit POV. Do I have something set wrong? I can't see the throttles/flaps, etc. Thanks for any help. Ralph Freshour www.GMTPilots.com
November 2, 201312 yr It sounds as though you are expecting the 2D behaviour to work like X-Planes does with panels (scrolling across and up and down the panel). This doesn't happen in FSX. The NGX's 2D cockpit is static; what you see is what you get. You use other pop-ups for the other functions, but be warned, there is no 2D pop-up for the throttle quadrant.
November 2, 201312 yr Author Nope, never used X-Plane. (1) I'm not sure what you mean when you say the 2D panels are static. I can pop up the center console and operate the radios...they are functional. I can pop up the over head panel and operate all of the switches on that panel. It's only the Shift+1 MCP panel that is static. I don't understand why that is not functional in 2D and the rest of the Shift+ panels are functional? (2) When you say to use the 'other pop ups' for the other functions, you mean the 2D Shift+ 2 thru 9 panels? (3) I also don't understand why there is no Shift+ key to display the throttle quadrant in 2D. Seems like this is a pretty big missing panel. How do you get to that quadrant in 2D? Seems like you can't so you are forced to get to it in VC only? Is that right? Ralph Freshour www.GMTPilots.com

Because you referred to :- I'm in 2D view and when I try to zoom or dolly left or right, the outside moves (very slowly) but not my cockpit POV. ......which is how X-Plane panels work (or used to work). I'm sorry I can't really understand what you're trying to do, but I can agree with Peter that there is no Throttle 2D panel in the NGX... they just didn;t make one. All other pop-ups pop up, yes, so not sure what you're not able to do ..... sorry comms have gotten confused on this one, but hope you get to fix what you're after!
