Is it possible to configure the range of shown online/AI traffic?

Featured Replies

I do all my flying online with zero AI traffic in FSX but I guess this is the same regardless if the traffic is AI or online traffic.

What I would like to know is if it's possible in FSX to configure at what range surrounding traffic will show up? I have the VATSIM pilot client configured to include traffic within 40 nm which is the same range I have the NGX TCAS configured to show traffic but often when sitting in the cockpit looking out it appears the traffic I see on my TCAS doesn't show up "physically" in FSX until about 10 nm. Of course it can often be hard to spot another aircraft at this range but I do use the red labels showing aircraft type etc to let me spot the traffic. Would be great though if there was a way to increase the range when traffic show up in FSX.

I have checked the traffic tab in FSX and I also manually checked fsx.cfg but I can't find any setting that seems to relate to this. Does anyone know if it's possible to configure this in FSX?
