Many tweaks do nothing now in DX10?

To be honest I'm getting a little confused with all the various advise on the forum and I have also been looking at the FSX guide.

Everyone has their opinion on what are the best settings but, in the end, you are the one who must decide the best and be satisfied.  FSX settings do not work the same for every system.  That's the nature of computers.  I'm glad to hear you are upgrading your system.  If you look at my system in the sideboard, I have the Asus Z87-Deluxe.

In regards to your NI settings, they should remain intact once you set them.  When you set up your NI settings it will also change your NVidia display driver settings too.

I think DX10 is the only way to go but remember P3D will have DX11 so, if you plan on buying P3D V2 (which should be released before the end of this year), DX10 will not be the latest technology.  If you are going to be like me and keep FSX w/DX10 installed and also have P3D, then that won't be a problem and you should go ahead with the upgrade.

Best regards,

Jim

Thanks Jim.

I think I'll stick with FSX for the time being although P3D looks interesting and I'll be watching developments.
