hmm my problem with this FPS hock/boomerang effect  could be background process all though no one is using any CPULOAD in task manager but i think i am on track again. Time for a systemimage again and in the time between here is a short experience from EKCH with the NGX with all sliders on step from max and UTII at 25%. People with ATI should read this as i just come from a HD7970GHZ Edition which is a monstercard for sure but:

 

GTX780 rocks when it comes to smoothness (and i am only in DX9 for know because i am unsure about the issue i had and when it is the prober time to introduce Steves Fixer after a total reinstall)

 

I have never seen so smooth a flight with a relativ clean fsx.cfg. (AM=14,HIGHMEMFIX,BP=0) locked 30FPS inside FSX and using pretty much the DX10 guide for NI (properly not the best for DX9 but hey it worked) but i did had some blurry or late lighteffects i think.

 

So i am glad i jumbed to the Nvidia Camp :-)

Just a heads up - WOW i must admit this Card is THE most smooth experience EVER in my FSX history and i have not even visit DX10 yet (sorry i know but i will eventually you know :-) ) AMD USERS this is THE FSX Card.

You can comment out the Max autogen trees/building. This card will take it. Try it.

You have 2 other lines for displays... You have other monitors plugged in ? If not, it's important to delete them.

Thanks Pouls but i did not put it in there. I think it is the Add-on Manager from FSDT that puts this in all the time. 

 

I did not put smallpartrejectradius and the swapwaittimeout=10 either but it works :-)

 

I do have 3 monitors . One for my CDUII and one for AS2012, EFB, etc

 

This Card Rocks !!!!! looking forward to try DX10 this weekend with it but it cannot get any smoother :-) (Vsync is on btw and AF X16)

You are correct - the Addon Manager gives one the option to change BP type to GPU-controlled (0) or FSX-controlled (1), as well as the buffer size, Michael - but size is only used when UsePools=1..

 

Selecting "Save to FSX" - will change your fsx,cfg - that's how it got there.

Problem is back with undocking panels cuts fps to jumb from 45 to 30 and back every 20-25 seconds after going to DX10

uninstalling Steves library and replace the SLHL folder with the stock version and back to DX9 and everything is ok again.

 

Will try installing DX10 fixer and se if i can go back to DX9 without any issues

Okay the problem seem to be in DX10 mode and not in DX9. I can install Steves DX10 fixer and go back to DX9 and the issue is gone and fps is steady.

 

Should i try new Nvidia drivers ?

Can anyone tell me why the PFD etc etc looks blurry and not crispy sharp on my system DX9 and dx10? i am using the DX10 NI from the setup guide and 311.82

 

Can anyone tell me why the issue does not happen when i keep spinning the camera around 360 degress. As soon as i stop 20-25 seconds later the circling fps drops for 5 seconds and restores. Only in DX10 btw (and only when undocking panels to a monitor)

Hmm , actually undocking a Panel on my main monitor also cuts the fps to "mouse visible" fps and then find itself the normal fps after 20-25 seconds. Not knowing better i should think there might be a connection there but its only in DX10 mode. This is sad as this kills my hardware (FMC) or i have to use DX9 for now. damn it!

It is a Vsync issue. I just reproduced this in DX9 also. Not sure what the cause and cure is right now but i would have to test further.

 

 

How do you use Aero ? i use a batchfile but i dont think N.Inspector recognise this as fsx.exe so settings is not loaded.

This issue with fps jumbing up and down every 25 sec. after a undocked window. I have also noticed that FRAPS is not present in the undocked window like in DX9 ? The fps would normally almost doubled because of this "extra" window is opened but its not recognized as a new window in DX10.

 

Anybody who can light me up please?

Hmm i take your silence as a none issue Else where which i found odd but this repeating pattern of fps drop is killing my DX10 with the NGX at least. Also the sharpness of the panels like PFD/ND is not AMD like. Any ideers or a video up link can be done
