I was wondering what are the cream of the crop helis for XPX.

 

It's pretty well stated that XPX is a high fidelity helicopter sim and I was having a mess-about with the ND BKK which I have owned for ages, but never flown.

 

I was having a great time, and decided to buy the DrealFoil R-22, which seems great, but has some bug in XPX which means you have to keep deleting your prefs file before using it each time(this is a no-go until it's fixed)

 

So I was wondering what others should I be looking at, I want to land on some of those ubiquitous oil rigs.

this one if from designer Mins and is now freeware. Good little model of a Russian Mil Mi-2.

Got that one, it's kind of a big one to start out on. 

 

Anything smaller for the novice pilot?

There are many payware options.

 

I just have the AS350B3, also from Dreamfoil, but it feels strange, as if the CoG was above the rotor?

 

Then there is another widely recommended model, the Bk-117
