I've an EVGA card (580 GTX) very happy.

TABS from PMDG uses EVGA too,so they must be good.

Yes, I always buy Asus motherboards.

And yes to EVGA, I've bought quiet a few and never had any issues. Great warranty, great cards.

Apples and oranges.   It's all buyer preference.   For me, I am an ASUS ######.   I have never had a problem with any of their hardware.  My current monster system is all powered by ASUS components where possible.

I guess everyone has different experiences (or luck) with different brands. I've had 3 ASUS M/Bs that all developed faults, 2 out of the 3 serious. Had a couple EVGA graphics cards and no problems however.

I am absolutly pro Asus.
I bent my cpu pins a while ago.
Send it off to the store so they could ship it to asus.
Store said it would be around 50/100 euro's to repair.
7 weeks later the doorbell rang.
Got a new board replaced under warrenty.

That's what i call service..!!

For me it's always EVGA and Corsair. Their service is just so very good.

A graphics card failed on me. They sent me a replacement, I sent mine back and returned theirs when I received a new one back.

Someone stole the cable bag with all the cables of my AX1200 power supply at a LAN party, and when I inquired for the price of a new one, they told me they'd send me one.

I'll never buy anything else.

Yeah I am recent convert to EGVA.

My "latest gen"  Asus card was defective -

  • Got an RMA and sent card in
  • Returned to me with physically damage
  • Sent back in on 2nd RMA
  • They lost the card
  • Claim I never sent it in
  • Provided proof on RMA facility signature
  • Asus cut off all communication
  • Found a guy on their forums to help
  • Asus replaced with a cheaper and that turned out to be a defective designed card (they pulled from the shelves weeks later)

Fun for about a 5 month RMA process...

Maybe does not happen to everybody but put me off and I made a promise to always tell everyone - So yeah I am a broken record.

I'm on my 4th EVGA card and very happy with every one. I am at present saving for my GTX780 and yes it will probably be an EVGA.

Have had quite a lot of MBOs which have all been ASUS.

Bottom line is that both are excellent mamufacturers IMHO.

I have both an Asus mobo and Asus videocard. Both are rock-solid and I've never had any problems with neither of them. FSX has been rock solid too and I never have CTDs. Definitely get Asus for the mobo but for the videocard EVGA is an excellent manufacturer as well.

Haven't said I'm a fan of EVGA...

Think my new 770 SC has a fan rattle at certain RPM's.

I'm monitoring the situation at present. But I'm sure if I have to return EVGA will be very helpful.

They're one of the few manufacturers (the only one?) you can actually call and get help from someone that actually understands the product.

Correction, that's "having", not "haven't".

May be my dodgy HD whining intermittently, not the EVGA card.

They are both great products. I have only used EVGA for graphics card. The warranty and support they have is top notch- I mean the best of the best !
