Milviz 737-200 trim problem?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I am really enjoying the Milviz 737-200.   But I have a problem with the stabilizer trim.

It appears that placing the  trim all the way down (negative setting) will not level the planes pitch.

The speed of the plane does not matter.  I literally have to push forward (a tad) on the joystiq to get the plane to

level out.  This is with the AP off!

Does this sound like a bug, user error, or a joystiq problem, or the actual 737-200?  The plane flies as if it is tail heavy.

I even tried different weights with the Milviz 737 manager to no effect and I do not see anything in the manager that effects

the planes balance.   Could it be something with the CWS?

Thanks in advance!

B.

More information is needed. Which version are you loading?

Both. But simply with Auto Pilot off the trim

Has to be set full forward and some forward stick

Input to give level pitch, even if thrust is lowered.

I tried it with Alaska version with 20000lb fuel for

a total weight of 100000 TOW (sperry 77 but ap off )

. Also with Canada north version with sp177 (sp off though )

Full load of passengers and 20000lb fuel .

Still the trim has to be full forward not even

Near the green safety zone for the elevator trim.

I do it every time. I don't even bother to put the flaps down or trim.

Of course I'm touching trees and am at the END of the runway when I go wheels up.

I don't see this issue at all.         I hand fly the aircraft regularly and can trim it out just fine.     Sounds maybe like a controller problem.

Ok, Sorry for the late reply,  I have not had this issue lately so will attribute it to user error for now.

I am wondering if the strong winds at the location I was flying at were the problem?

I did a flight from Toronto to KTPA the other night and the trim functioned as expected so I was very happy!

(With the plane, and the trimfunctioning)

Hope to do some good flying with the 737-200 this weekend, will report back if any problem show up.
