Sure. (whiskers quivering)

I'll be one of the guinea pigs............

Why not?

This is one of the quirkiest foibles of being an x-plane user, you got to let the latest version cool on the sill before taking a bite.

I'll take a bite when I get home from work.

It's called a release candidate for a reason, and you can only get it if you explicitly tell the software that you want a beta version.

I got the beta-went for a jaunt around San DIego and was disappointed once again that it looks like Chicago with high rises/midwest style housing. Then I got the idea to turn the autogen way down-made a stunning difference! The unwanted buildings vanished, my UrbanMax texures filled in the city "green", and my add on San Diego scenery looks great. Haven't really noticed anything else earthshattering for my area of the world-but it is running great other than fps with the same settings seem to have gone down.

I think that there's a bug in the autogen, hilly areas like Ramona have no houses. I hope this will be fixed during the recuts. Suburban areas like where I live look pretty good... If you ignore the high rise apartments.

Geofa, what setting level did you turn it down to.  My curious side is asking..lol.

Are you running the PPP texture?

Edit:  I see only 10.25 64 bit, but no entry of RC1.  Hmmm.....

Default setting. I don't know what PPP texture is so I guess I am not running it.

Oh man...Mr. San Diego...you are missing out!!!!

(P)arks (P)laza (P)can't remember this one 'P'... is a texture set for UrbanMaxx 3D Extreme v2.0 that can be downloaded for free off of the developer's website. Download all three of the packs and see what you like. I found PPP to give fabulous urban and rural visuals. Very plausible to the eye... If you download and try (read directions), let me know what you think of them over the stock textures.

I'm really starting to warm to some of the new textures. They seem crisper and to work together better, and thinking that will only improve after DSF cuts...very good! (Urban textures notwithstanding...)
