ezdok vs opus cameras with track ir

Recommended Posts

EZdok is the ultimate camera utility for FSX. And despite numerous claims that the software is difficult to master, it really isn't difficult at all if you set your mind to it.

Amen. About the hardest thing you have to do is delete all the FSX keyboard assignments for views... and there are allot. It's a little work, but I couldn't even contemplate FSX without EZDok, even if I didn't have TrackIR.

People must also realize that TrackIR has a view limitation when it tracks your head movements. Just like the mouse, you can adjust the sensitivity so that movement is more then actual, and you will be able to see just about the entire cockpit.

I Prefer 1:1 movement, and I set up cameras for close ups of stuff like switch panels. EZDok + TrackIR allow you to actually have a real simulator. EZDok 1.7 is not glitchie, broken, or inpacts FSX in anyway, as it run outside of the sim (and so does TrackIR). If it doesn't work for you, you did something wrong.

I tried Opus , but for me it was too difficult to master the cameras. I followed J-J's Videos on Ezdoc's setup and was able to learn and master EZDOC. Thank you J-J for that. It was intimidating at first, but now it's very easy. Opus should produce videos on setting up their cameras, because their are people like me who learn more from watching videos rather than from reading manuals.
