Now this is Switzerland.

Using 50cm/pixel photoscenery + openVFR Autogen, is really starting to look great.  Look closely and you'll see real-world placed houses, 3d objects, and trees thanks to the openVFR.

Can I get it moved please to the screenshot forum?

Also, I hope you're going over to the Prepar3d forums and letting them know also. Lots of screenshots, over there.

Think Meshman was referring to the huge size of your image, not that it was in the wrong forum.  In any case, you will need to repost it with the proper width and weight.  If you get it hosted on another site, you can have any size you want.  I use http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/.  It was a nice image though and hope you repost it.

Best regards,

Jim

Image Shack is another good place to host screenshots for free, their new interface is outstandingly easy to use.

I don't have as much experience with scenery add-ons as some of you do, but thus far the best Auto-Gen I've seen over photo-real is Stewart airport (czst) by Orbx. I have no idea how they pulled it off, but their auto-gen is exactly correct looking over their photo-real, and that airport is basically 90% from photo-real as far as the ground textures go (well some of it they rendered themselves, but what I mean is it is photo looking and the mountains are from photos).

A whole slew of new shots.  The detail of 50/60cm/pixel is amazing down low.  I got lost in some mountains in south Switzerland and found myself just flying around enjoying the new surrealness of this.  Absolutely without a doubt the best flying experience ever in FSX.  Sorry about the color variation, trying different SweetFX settings till I find the one I like for this beautiful country.

So far 53GB of data and about 1/3 of the way done.  Will easily be over 150Gb when completed.  I'll still need to complete the water masks.  Here's what I've mapped so far:

Looks outstanding!  Very nice work; the autogen with photoscenery is super sweet.

Will this be available anywhere once completed?

No sorry, unfortunately there's some gaps that haven't been mapped to 50 cm generally near the south central mountains and I'll have to fill those in with my MSE2 Switzerland, and I don't think they would appreicate it.

Fortunately, it's easy to make your own.  I'm using FS Earth Tiles.

Few more as I begin to map out the southern alps.  These are without SweetFX so you can see the true color.

Perhaps I may offer this in parts as freeware.  Not sure the legalities however.  I'm not greedy and I think anyone would enjoy flying around this area with a good set of mesh and purchase of openVFR autogen.  It's certainly stunning and surreal.  The chunks would have to be upwards of 20gb or more just to have enough space to fly around in.

Those look pretty darn good. That does bring back alot of memories. Lived around Belp, Munsingen and Thun for a while.  Try to get some shots around the Thunersee, towards Interlaken, and then out to Grindlewald, near the Eiger, and Jungfrau.

Great project though. Keep up the work!
