Regardless of the few bugs...I retract everything bad I have said about PMDG 777....

This is the real deal...

My wife thinks that this beauty is sexy....And that sealed it for me in San Francisco...

There, now you have it !

Thanks for reporting back!!!

What steps did you take in order to get the T7 running on your system? (except for talking to your wife about what/who's sexy ... :P)

Any recommendations for fellow simmers to turn from "It cost 90$ to not fly it." to "This is the real deal..."?

Yeah, I'm kinda mocking at "an bho dhearg", but I'm honestly curious at the same time ...   B)

What happened to AVSIM

LOL OLLI The max i flown is 7h trying to find time for this SEXY

ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry.

X-Plane 12 and MSFS2020  🙂

System specs: Windows 11  Pro 64-bit, Ubuntu Linux 20.04 i7-13700KF  Gigabyte Z790 RTX-4060-Ti , 32GB RAM  1X 2TB M2 for X-Plane 12,  1x256GB SSD for OS. 1TB drive MSFS2020

I managed a sixteen hour flight from OMDB to KLAX. I had REX textures, AS2012 providing the weather and followed the flight with Aivlasoft EFB, all running on separate PC except the EFB client, then had VoxATC directing the flight. Ground texture was provided by FS2010 Global, UTX and FTX Global and I also had all my airport sceneries installed so it is quite a heavy setup. I managed to get onto the runway in KLAX before the mighty OOMS appeared. I have now changed over to DX10 in a hope to cut that down and I'm going to try again.

There is hope for anyone struggling and I think it is just finding that sweet spot. I think the next update will improve things but I don;t think anybody at Microsoft envisaged FSX would still be running in 2013 and being pushed to such a limit. I just wish they would see how many people love FSX, go back and revisit it or at least allow P3D to have an entertainment licence.

Certainly a fantastic simulation.  But, now I am getting the hanging for like 20 minutes then goes back to normal.  Trying to think of the next long flight.

We have now departed San Francisco...We are currently passing FL220 for our initial climb of FL330...Then after steping to FL350 then on FL370...After importing the winds...We are to gain an hour or so.

Our expected arrival time is 08:44 zulu landing time at EGKK.

The flight is smooth at the moment, no turbulence...Though lots of traffic....

Some refreshments....We are going to have some beers as we embrace the clouds.

Stay tunned for another update....Diner in about an hour or so.

Thank you

After 10h 05mins, we just landed at Gatwick (EGKK).....

Regis Biassala

Yesterday i flew PMDG777 from EDDM to RPVM ( 6083 NM ) - 12 hours flight without time acceleration.

Whole flight was smooth as silk.

From very begining i had no any issue with 777, not even one CTD or OOM.

Artur

Hi all,

I had the dreaded OOM's on touchdown or finals with the 777, an amazing plane truly wonderful. I switched over to DX10 recently and flew all my long flights, usually EGBB to OMDB, not long for a 777 admittedly but long enough for me, and since switching to DX10 no more OOM's brilliant.

So the 777 is good to go, just need to fly some more long distance, when time allows, something long to really test my system!!

Thinking EGBB to San Francisco would do nicely, might have to look into some scenery for the airport there!

Happy Flying,

Dave Phillips.

It's a wonderful plane, I can't seem to stop flying it. I've already done six ultra-long haul flights (>12 hours) and I still can't get enough of the T7. Can't wait for the -300ER :)
