Problems with MCP Combo 1 and Jeehell software

Hello,

 

i have a problem with Linda and the Jeehell FMGS Software.

 

The programmer from the jeehell software has created a actions.lua file for Linda to make

the MCP Combo 1 working with the jeehell software package.

 

I have created the profil for linda with this actions.lua file, but it do not work.

 

Linda and fsuipc are ok because with the default FSX planes it works quite good.

 

The displays on the combo are not synchron with the jeehell FCU displays and at first time 

i have only the HDG rotary programmed and 2 keys für QNH switching. When i use the HDG rotary and the keys

there is no function on the jeehell FCU and the fsuipc log gives a lua error. 

 

I am not a programmer so i need a little bit help for this problem, has somebody any idea ?

I really can't say what's going on and what Jeehell at least is!?

Why can't the developer of Jeehell don't have a look at his software provided for LINDA?

 

And why can't the already existing LINDA module not be used or modified?

 

 

You see, I have no clue ...

Hello,

 

the developer do not need this file because he has other hardware for FCU.

 

He was friendly to other users and has made this actions file as "base" to use the VRinsight MCP Combo 1.

 

The software FMGS A320 from jeehell is a high quality freeware cockpit simulation software.

Hello Veit,

 

I saw your thread about Jeehell + Linda, as I have a similar problem  I would like to ask if you have achieved any success?

 

I am not a user of the MCP Comb, I build my own hardware with Arcaze and some buttons + rotary encoders; but I have the same issue that I want to communicate with FSX via LINDA and only the default airplanes work, altough I have installed the FMGS.zip from JL.

 

I already asked for help in his forum, but as he does not use an MCP Combo nor Linda, he can´t help.

 

Please let me know if you have any news on this, I would be glad to stay in contact with other cockpit builders using Jeehell.

Dear LINDA  / JEEHELL users,

 

I found a soution how to solve this problem.

 

First, the Jeehell Airbus is recognized as a "FSX Default" plane in my FSX. So I have modified the Actions.lua file and added all available JEEHELL offset write commands.

 

You can download the modified file here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bscas6mr4be9h5r/actions.lua

 

and simply replce the original in you FSX\Modules\linda\aircrafts\FSX Default folder (do not forget to backup as I give no warrenty for my work ;)

 

If you find any error, I would be glad to receive a feedback!

Please don't do that, create a new profile and add your additions to it, that's the whole point of profiles in the first place. It is appreciated that you have gone to the trouble of doing this, but you need to stick to the guidelines so as to not damage other people's setups.

unfortunatly - as the TO mentioned and I found the same - the Jeehell Airbus is recognized as a default plane. I tried to create a new profile, but failed. So I modified the actions.lua without deleting any existing entries.

 

Furthermore I believe this download is only of interest for Jeehell users, so why should anyone else download this file?

 

If you have an idea how to make a Jeehell profile work, I am certainly open minded to it!

I can't understand why the OP and yourself cannot create a new profile, its never been a problem before, perhaps if you explain what you are doing and where things go wrong, Guenter may be able to better advise.

Because every once in a while a new version of Linda is released with all the latest profiles in it, if yours was included in that update it would be adding actions that are not applicable to the default profile and this could cause issues. Guenter or Artem need to know not to include your profile then.

I just retried to create a profile, and now it worked for any reason ... I think I did not have FSX up and running the first time I tried this.

 

I have removed the modified Default FSX lua file from my dropbox and created a new one for the Jeehell profile now. 

 

You are absolutely right, I did not think about the problem with new LINDA versions.
