December 6, 201312 yr Hi, I read about 80% or so of the posts and from what I gathered, I think I will be going with a 4gb card . Most of the discussion was centered around internal settings for autogen, water, clouds etc., but from what I can see from the thread, no one discussed the vram useage when piling on the AntiAliasing, Anisio, HDR and all other combinations available for dx11, that effects the rendered objects quality. If someone states 2.3 gb of Vram useage, how much of that useage is for the rendered objects quality? Just curious. I am just a little concerned that LM, after they tweak fix and modify the dx11 code, that there may be a possiblity that the vram useage may go up. Just thinking out load. Bob Officially retired
December 6, 201312 yr The best advice I've seen is to get the fastest card you can afford, with at least 3GB of RAM My GTX 780 has never used more than 1.9GB RAM in P3D while I've been monitoring it. ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE

December 6, 201312 yr Hmmm i have the 780TI and before the 660TI. The 780 is nearly at max vram as was the 660ti. There is an interesting discussion over at LM forums about heavy airports and autogen. It is time to rethink the impact that autogen has on the sim when using fast cards.
