November 27, 201312 yr ...Absolutely. All the addons are ready to go, but right now my enemy is time. Work, a running Beta, systems review for an upcoming project, getting P3D V2 to work with the Leonardo Maddog and other aircraft.... Thanks for this Dave
November 27, 201312 yr vram is video ram, or the amount on memory on your gfx card. 660 2gb card= 2gb vram. Thanks ntme9, that's what I was suspecting. Eric Tomlin Flight Line Simulations www.FlightLineSimulations.com
November 27, 201312 yr Slightly off topic, but what are you guys using to monitor your CPU, GPU, and memory usage? ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE
November 27, 201312 yr http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/his_radeon_r9_290x_review,32.html "Game Performance The AMD R9 290X in most scenarios will be performing roughly at Titan or GeForce GTX 780 Ti like performance, that it pretty kick &@($* for just one GPU with a nicer price-tag. Realistically I should be comparing towards the GeForce GTX 780. Don't forget that you will receive a free copy of Battlefield 4 (Deluxe version with extras and DLC) as well with certain SKUs." I´ll go with a R9 290, for the price is the best choice. And I saw that AMD is releasing new drivers that fix the problems. Just read the review at Guru3d guys...
November 27, 201312 yr I´ll go with a R9 290, for the price is the best choice. And I saw that AMD is releasing new drivers that fix the problems. Just read the review at Guru3d guys... It's tempting...especially at its present price point, but having been vexed by Radeon-related squirreliness and seemingly artificial performance bottlenecks in FSX (e.g. FSAA in clouds) for the past 3 years, I feel better embracing nVidia going forward. It seems to be the card of choice for flight simulator and by LM. It's likely what their devs are testing with (at least some of the posts in their forums seem to indicate a preference).
November 27, 201312 yr Author Price should not be the only deciding factor, the MS franchise has been traditionally working precariously with AMD chips+drivers over the years if I believe numerous posts. November 27, 201312 yr I already read at least one report form an AMD-card owner that performance dropped in clouds like in FSX...? The coming weekend someone I know on another forum will install P3D 2.0 on his PC with the R9 290X installed. I think I will wait until I know how it went before I order something.
November 27, 201312 yr This is the weekend to purchase GPUs since its Black Friday Madness out there. Should be some great deals. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
November 27, 201312 yr This is the weekend to purchase GPUs since its Black Friday Madness out there. Should be some great deals. I usually buy from Amazon. They generally match NewEgg and Tiger pretty closely and have a 30-day price guarantee (so if your card goes on sale for less within 30 days, they refund you the difference). I've benefited from that offer on more than one occasion.

November 27, 201312 yr I don't think they have Black Friday in the Netherlands, Never heard of it. It's where the whole of America whores itself at retail outlets in the middle of the night in a gross display of materialism and worship of the dollar. People are often trampled in the frenzy. Kinda like the running of the bulls, only with fat American housewives.
