Recommended Posts

Hi a simple question hopefully

Do

I plug the thrust master mfd and load the button mapper software to the panel builder pc or to the main fsx pc.

Thanks

Help AVSIM continue to serve you!

You install the ButtonMapper program on the same PC that has the Cougar MFD plugged into.

The ButtonMapper Program communicates to Panel Builder via the network.

You can install the Cougar MFD/ButtonMapper combo on any networked PC.

Hi Reinhard,

Now I am confused, does this mean that I can install the MFD on the main PC (the one running FSX) while the Panel Builder run on another networked PC? If it is the case that may solve my issue as my main PC is on win 7.

Before I blow it up, what should I install on my main PC/FSX ? an in which order ?

I have the drivers, the hotas software, the ButtonMapper soft and the hardware.

Ok this solved it for me, plugged the MFD into the main PC/FSX (win 7 64b), installed the drivers and buttonmapper and it worked.

I am somehow convinced that in its current state buttonmapper is not vista 64 Ultimate / French version compatible.

Now I can enjoy the sim! thx for the hard work

You are correct. The issue is Windows VISTA. I could recreate the problem. Still trying to find a solution.

hi reinhard,

No, sorry couldn't find a solution yet. It has to do with how buttons are reported to VISTA and the library I'm using accessing them.
