When I Got Into Flight Sims This Was State-of-the-art

Featured Replies

After looking up items for sale on ebay I came across a Spitfire sim for the Spectrum 48, this was really sate of the art when I got into flight sims ...

Not quite A2A or COD!!

Enjoy

As an early teenager I learned to 'fly' on that simulator on the C64. I had a retired instructor barking at me until I got things right. There were black, yellow and red plane baddies. The red ones were the hardest to shoot down, the black ones the easist. Three un-named airfields around London. Frames were so bad that the only way you knew you were out of a dive was the change in engine note! Good times. FS-II was not considered 'realistic', so I had to work that one out for myself.
