Thanks a lot. Saw one of these in operation in the 1980s after they got engine trouble and made an emergency landing at my air base. After it was repaired the Blackbird took off, made a 360 around town before going full throttle nose upwards until it was out of sight.

Thanks for sharing. I had the pleasure of serving as an enlisted guy in the 9th SRW at Beale AFB from late 70's til 1980. This interview is very informative and a nice trip down memory lane. Both the SR71 and the U2 are very special machines.

In the past, Mr. Graham has conducted many seminars at Oshkosh. Very interesting to listen to him speak. I even have one of his books signed by him.
