The Saitek feel more like the rudder pedals in the warrior I used to fly. The CH aren't even angled like real pedals. They feel like racing pedals to me.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I will go for Saitek Combat Pro. Although I don't fly combat Sims, they got good reviews so far.

Guido,

You've certainly had plenty of good advice so I hope your new pedals enhance the experience for you.

Choice was not an easy one. CH Pro or Saitek. In the end Saitek won....

CH feel like a plastic toy from my experience. I've since moved to Saitek Combat Pro pedals. Much more sturdy and realistic.

My recommendation also. Very good strong design. Toe brakes a must.

This how I fixed the sliding around and storage problem. Works for me.

Thank you! I will be copying this design. Right now I have old books jamming my rudder pedals under there! lol

Now that's ingenuity. Low cost, simple design, absolutely brilliant.

One of those, "now why didn't I think of that" instances.

My hat's off to you, sir.

The CH pedals are extremely close together.

They don't have the nickname "ball breakers" for nothing!

I had CH and finally switched to saitek. Haven't looked back.

What ever you get make sure you set them up well and you will never be without them again.

Enjoy

Well I would go for the Saitek Combat pedals and steer well clear of the standard Saitek pedals. (Not sure on the cesna ones)

The standard ones seem to have a common fault with the left toe brake breaking.

I have seen several for sale on local sites stating left toe brake is broken, (weird it seems to be the left)

The fault is a cheep plastic internal part where the tension spring hooks on too, it breaks, and no matter what glue you try to use,  super glue, araldite and even a specialised glue designed for bonding all types of plastics (including polyethylene & polypropylene) it wont hold.

It seems the tension from the spring is to great.

The good news is that I Macgyvered it with a drill, a self tapper and a bit of stiff wire it now works flawlessly you can't even feel the difference in the tension.

But in saying that, this is only a temp fix until I purchase the Saitek Combat pedals.

Is it possible that the internals of the Saitek Combat's are the same

as the Pro's with just the foot rests being different?

Thanks,

gb.
