When new meets old

Recommended Posts

Got bored and did repaint of the Carenado 182T cockpit...  Took all the best (and worst?) design cues of old GA aircraft cockpits and mashed them into the 182T cockpit.. Now that sterile modern day cockpit has a little personality and flair of the good days gone past.  :)

Browns!

Plaid!

Blue carpet!

Wood paneling!

Thanks for the nice words. It gets a bit repetitive when the interiors of your livery collection all look the same. Nice to have some variety in the airborn office

Awesome, it's like you ran out of remodeling money after the avionics went in.

Nah, it's just Glass Cockpit with Wood Trim...looks brilliant though...I wish the 172 I fly looked anything close like that

Just a heads up.. This is now in the file library. I skipped doing the panel from the exterior view. ie: It will look grey still from spot/chase etc.. You would really have to open the doors and look to even notice. It was easy to do, a bit time consuming considering what needed to be done though and I just didn't see the point for such a minor detail..

Search for "CT182T Skylane retro cockpit repaint" to be taken right to it.

Great and clever  mod, looks fabulus!!

I try to imagine ERJ/CRJ/Dash8 flight decks in similar 'fashion'.
