Nice! Is that Simheaven OSM?

Thank you all for the comments.

Nice! Is that Simheaven OSM?

I converted the OpenStreetMap files with XPOSM and OSM2XP with my own settings. But the ground textures are from SimHeaven.

Beautiful ... I like the square (ish) format.  Great airplane.

Do you mean the cockpit windows, or aspect ratio of my shots ? I'm still using a 5:4 monitor (1280x1024).

Happy flying. B)

How did you get XPOSM to generate roads for X-Plane 10?

How did you get XPOSM to generate roads for X-Plane 10?

XPOSM can only read the X-Plane 9 mesh: I'm generating the roads and railways in X-Plane 9, and then I'm using the dsf files in X-Plane 10.

I still hope we'll get better scenery tools in the future for X-Plane 10.

In the following links, I'm also using OSM2XP + XPOSM sceneries:

I'm currently working on a tool which fixes many of the problem in osm2xp

I did also try and look at how roads are done in XP10, but the documentation I found was quite hard to read, and it unfortunately it's much more complex than just plonking points down for a road, it requires elevation data from the mesh, and would a be a bit of a undertaking to do. The scenery tools used to generate X-Planes mesh and sceneries are actually available in source-code form for anyone to use, but there is little to no documentation on it.

Tony, your World2XPlane tool is just amazing. For now I'm still configuring the rules, and testing the results but I'll soon make better screen shots. World2XPlane and the X-Plane dataref tweaks are really major improvements for our hobby. Thank you. B)
