Not even remotely interested. I've been waiting for fix packs on a few of their products for many years. Pulled the plug on Captain Sim.

That is odd. The PMDG one does work just fine, just this trash eats system resources as hell does.

I have a i7 2600K @ 4,5ghz and a 660GTX ti 2Gb AND 12gb ram. I do not even think to do an upgrade. I do not need it.

I was thinking of buying their 767 and 757 on sale-out for 10 bucks, but even that hangs on the balance now.

How is their 767/757 really?

Judging from the changelog, this v1.3 is the first version that could actually be called a release candidate!

Too late for me, but I'm happy for all those CS777 owners out there, especially those ones who paid 50 or even 60 Euros for a former version.

EDIT:

The download file is still tagged _1200 (for version 1.2)?!? The installer states v1.2 all the time, too?!?

I do not know,

I think these people at CS are simply REtarded. Sorry, no other answer on this matter possible.

Where are they situated anyway? After all this failure they can better hide at an old Soviet bunker at Severnaya.

I am done with them, their trashy products for PMDG-class price.

Reading the text from CS site people are quoting here would help ;) You need to download v.1.2 THEN download and install the update. BTW I have no probs with 1.3.

:) Don't mention it!

To make a fair comparison we must say CS 777 has more systems and displays (WXR, EFB, standbies to name a few)/ Also CS vc is of better visual quality (more details, better shapes, better textures).

Anyways the 29 is perfect fps. 24 is a standard movie projection fps BTW. Have you sent any complains to Hollywood?

A quick "circuit" - and this is what I still don't like in v1.3:

  • A/T on takeoff is still buggy
  • several bugs on the PFD's speedtape (missing flaps schedule markers; APPR REF speed markers missing)
  • FLCH mode engagement after VNAV reverts to selected speed before VNAV was engaged (below minimum clean speed) instead of current speed on FLCH engagement
  • ILS approaches can't be selected properly in the FMC. Selection of RWY only must still be used as a workaround
  • EFIS mode for the ND is forced to APPR when ILS signal is received; cannot be changed by pilot anymore until landing
  • several EICAS messages still missing (flight controls related)
  • odd GPWS callouts on final
  • no flare on autoland
  • retracting spoilers after touchdown doesn't disarm autobrakes

Heaps of bugs have been carried over since v0.9. Even bugs from the days of their B757/767 can still be found in the B777 v1.3 FMC.

I'm just glad I got my CS T7 in a 9.99 sale ...

It's REALLY incredible what they did with 1.3. It doesn't fly like a T7 yet, but it's very very good when compared to 1.0.

The framerate increased by TONS, everything is just incredibly responsive now and it looks like a finished product with some bugs/flaws to be taken care of. If they released this as being the final product they could have skipped all the negative comments they received.

Well done, but many months too late. Now i hope their 767 sees the same attention.

Hollywood movies are motionblured, do compare it with video game.

What CS's stance on P3D? I miss my 777 as PMDG hasn't added the 777 to P3d yet Ill fly the CS 777 if its allowed.

Perhaps,

A very little chance I will buy their B767 on a 9,99 sale. Only to have the 200 and the F version. Because I like them.

And I also think that their 757 and 767 flies much better than the 777 and are even better on the frame rates.

The 777 project goes as a failure into the books, but not only that. CS showed that they are big frauds that promise to make

a good add-on and finally end up shoving every bugs under the couch and making small-ish updates that are not even worth

to be called hotfixes, it is just a perfidious display!

I advise them to put this project to a halt and work on the 1011, as PMDG already won the world's 777 interest!

Nontheless, I think they will make a V1.4 and V1.5 in the near future.

But it still remains S#@%T!!!! Boy, am I glad I did not buy their whole hangar of planes. It would be a waste of well-earned money!

Still, I think it is about time to boycot their trashy stuff. Do not buy their L-1011. You will probably end up with a trashy product just

as their 777. Do not feed the trashmaster, feed the precision master!!! You know what I mean....

"Hardcore" Captain Sim customers usually rate the 767 over the 757 (and both of them over the 777, obviously ...).

Non-hardcore CS customers fly the CS 767 a lot, because it offers better graphics than the system-wise still spot-on LVLD B763.

In some fairness to CS I have to admit they have put quite some work into v1.3. And it must have been clear to CS that their B777 must be considered pretty much a "lost battle" and their v1.3 wouldn't change that.

I'm kind of glad they tweaked the takeoff/climb thrust hold, the "pitch for speed" and ALT capture to a more "believable" performance (similar to what Nuno mentioned above already), even though this addon will never fly or behave "by the numbers".

it works in P3D

Except it (the T7) doesn't, and in fact is the only CS plane I've tried that doesn't. Not only does it not work, but if you attempt to change any switch, it crashes P3D via a crash in ntdll.

Does Vnav work and does it still climb and like a rocket ?
