1. FTXG

2. ORBX SAK

3. AAX/AXE (I count it as a 2013 addon, because the improved and finally awesome versions were released this year)

There seem to be many more (such as the Twotter Extended, the A2A C172, the Sibwings AN-2 as well as some really good looking sceneries), but I simply didn't have the time to use all these at all :(

From what I have now:

Ftx global - reason: covers whole world and does amazing job refreshing vanilla game and does not collide with any fsx function

Rex - for cloud textures

Accufeel v2 - just watch YouTube vids

ASN- for stormy weather and turbulence - finally no need to use vanilla turbulence causing more issues than fun

I really haven't bought that much stuff this year, but...

Orbx SAK

RealAir Duke v2

Honorable mentions have to go to:

ASN - haven't purchased yet, but 3 days into the trial and I've done nothing but grin.

ForeFlight - This is far and away my best sim purchase of 2013. even though it's a real world flying app.  With the right piece it interfaces to FSX quite well for GPS input.  It's a flight planning, briefing, charts, wx, gps overlays, etc. tool for iPad (NA charts only).  The tool is free and charts are available for trial for 30 days.  It's the chart subscriptions that are <cough> real-world priced, but again...  Wish something like this had been available when I was still actively flying.
