Vancouver+3 and P3D2

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Have any of you added Vancouver+3 to P3D2. I'd like to try is there anything that I should not do or omit? I've got the EMT.

Thanks for your help

Hello OldGrizz,

I'm running Van+ in P3D2, and haven't had any major issues. (ie, crashes, or freezes) I do see some distant textures are slow to load when panning the view in the vc. For me, that isn't a deal breaker. Frame rates are steady at 30. Mind you, I am not running my settings on max, just stock aircraft so far. I have been having some hardware issues with my throttle quad,(Saitek-junk) and the Majestic Q400, so haven't been able to stress Prepare3d yet.

Cheers, Craig.

Hi OldGrizz,

I'm am using FSDT's CYVR for the airport side of things. The bridges, downtown buildings, etc, all show in their correct places. I am missing some of the effects,(Cleveland Dam mist, AI traffic, and wild life noises?) I don't really miss any of those things, though. I will play around with it tomorrow, to see if I can fix them.

Craig.

Thanks Craig....I just purchased FSDT CYVR and I'm using it with ORBX PNW and Vancouver+3  and its all gorgeous...one problem though I'm getting taxiway flashing...not bad mind you but it's there.  Couldn't find a suitable solution on the FSDT site...have you encountered this yourself?

Cheers

Hi OldGrizz,

I was getting the runway/taxiway shimmer/aliasing issues that everyone else has mentioned. A change of NI settings has cleared that up. I am seeing flashing on

the aprons/concrete areas of the airport, but not the actual taxiways or runways, if that makes sense. It looks as if the airport afcad textures are popping through the overlay

for the apron areas. I am going to tinker with it a little more, see what I can find.

 Cheers, Craig.
