Will Add-on Converter X fix WOAI aircraft when running DX10?

Featured Replies

I just found this program and it states that this converter allows for aircraft and sceneries for FS9 to be able to work on FSX w/ Acceleration.  Please opine anyone about this program.  It's much appreciated.

Addon Converter X is a plugin for FSX that makes many add-on aircraft and sceneries developed for FS2004 compatible with FSX SP2 and FSX Acceleration Pack.

Many existing aircraft and sceneries suffer display problems with these FSX versions, such as missing textures or missing scenery objects in the DirectX 10 mode. Addon Converter X resolves many of these problems on the fly, thus allowing you to enjoy thousands of sceneries and aircraft developed for previous Flight Simulator versions with FSX.

Addon Converter X does not modify any files you have installed in FSX. It performs conversions on the fly as FSX is loading files. You don't have to "convert" any add-ons you are installing. Simply copy them into FSX, and Addon Converter X will make any necessary changes automatically.

Yes it does, but for a few more bucks you can buy Steve's DX10 fixer.

So the WOAI planes that are white in DX10 will look normal like if i was using DX9?  I'm just making sure I'm in understanding ;-).

From what I read on the DX10 forum, yes. Just to confirm, I would ask Steve on the official DX10 forum here at Avsim.

both Addon ConverterX and DX10Fixer eliminate white WOAI aircraft textures. tested.

It was one of my big reasons for buying it. I missed my fedex fleet, now everything is great. Definitely buy Steves fixer, its a superior product

Another question.  Will the jet bridges mate to WOAI planes like other AI packages?

Hi

Yes, But you might have to tweak the location in the aircraft config file for some of them. most of them work fine though. Search here or google for the info. Not hard at all.
