Beware of fresh paint!

 

 

It's pretty bright, but I think it looks closer to the real thing than the original textures did. Not to diminish Holgi's excellent work... I just prefer a much whiter Swissair.

 

Time to break out that dirty Wilco paintkit and see what can be done.

I have a virtual paint of a FS9 FSD Cesna 337H that I would like someone to move over to the carenado C337.  I have the entire photo shop file I could send to you if that would help in the conversion. This one does not ahve an "N" number so you could make one up if you want. Fuel it up, because it's ready to go! American Airlines Wilco Airbus Evolution A319 IAE has been released!  :lol:

 

 

I have to say, that the Wilco paint kits are absolutely horrific. I worked in as much of the finer details as was available. The paintkit they have available was missing complete sections (like engines and wings), so I had to hand-hack some of the stock 319 textures. Hope you like it! 

 

The to-do list has been whittled down pretty substantially:

Thanks, I know it does look good.  Son did it years ago. Don't use FS9 anymore but would love to get it to FSX.  I fly the C337 a bit and would love to add it to my hanger.  Thanks again.  If you know of anyone that might want to take on the taskand has Carenado please pm me.

If you're up for the challenge... I kinda want a fictional charter airline created. I want to be surprised, but I have a few constraints:

 

- I would like "JC Air Charters" (without the quotes...) stylized on the aircraft in bright red, outlined in neon green, and in a bold font covering the windows much like I see in the flynas repaint.

- I would like the engines and tail to have the same bright red as JC Charters is stylized in. (no neon on cowlings or tail!)

- I would like JC stylized horizontally on the engine cowlings in the same neon green.

- I would like JC also stylized diagonally on the tail also in the exact same neon green.

- Font can be whatever you see fit... as long as it's consistent and fun/welcoming.

- I would like the fuselage to be a neutral white, not overly bright.

- For the 737NGX, I think it would be nice to have JC in neon green on the winglets

 

- For the PMDG 737-700NGX, and 777-200LRX

 

Let me know if you have questions about it or if you can/can't do it.

As I said above, if something doesn't look good, change it, this should be fun for you just as much as me.

My only concern is that Carenado paint jobs are usually an absolute disaster due to their ridiculously crappy paint kits... so we will have to see what kind of "present" those guys have in store.

Thanks! You really should get it- it looks beautiful and is great fun to fly. It actually comes with a blank white texture, so that may be easier than a paint kit. Actually, now that I think about it, can I add a second request for one in the Continental connection (N81533) livery? Carenado did include a new United Express livery (based on Continental), but the cheatline and the white belly are completely wrong.

I made another small change with the idea, here are my final plans:

 

- Red tail, engine cowlings, text on fore fuselage

- Gold text on tail and engine cowlings 

- Red underside of fuselage (like how BA has blue on theirs...)

Carenado TBM850 in private livery, released! Don't let the simplicity of this paint job fool you... due to Carenado's garbage "paint kit", this took several hours to do. Yeah. Fail. All that being said, I think it really does look beautiful, especially with the sun reflections. I will personally be flying this one for a while!
