Militarily Visualised B55 (Cochise 12685)

Recommended Posts

This is an original Army T-42A, off-the-shelf Beech B55, that served as the Army’s primary fixed wing instrument and multi-engine trainer from the mid-60’s until the mid-80’s. This aircraft went into the Army inventory in 1966 where it served as a flight instrument and multi-engine trainer at the Army Aviation Flight School at Fort Rucker, Alabama until1971.
The aircraft was then assigned to the Army’s Aviation Systems Command Flight Operation Detachment at St. Louis until 1980. In 1980, the aircraft was transferred to the Ohio Army National Guard where it served until released from Army service in 1990.

My thanks go to fppilot (Frank) who pointed me to a wonderful cache of detailed photographs.

It's on AVSIM now just waiting for approval. I do hope you like this one...'cause I love it!

Ron,

This repaint is beyond exceptional.  The detail you went to is incredible.  It's put tears in my eyes as it brings back some special memories.  I just cannot wait for the upload to be available and get my B-55 in the air with this T-42 livery.

You have put "military" into this MilViz model.  What a treat!  Highest kudos to you Ron.  Excellent work!

Thanks Ron,

As an ol' Army Aviator I have found memories of my T-42 training at Ft. Rucker.

Again your work on the T-42 is greatly appreciated.

The file should be available for download.

It is already in the library and I have already DL'd it.  Late here tonight so I will wait till the morning to add to my liveries.  Thanks for the quick turnaround, Jesse.

That looks great!  I bought the Carenado Baron shortly before the MilViz Baron was released.  Wish I had waited.

Here are some screenshots from my first flight in 12685, fittingly out of Waynesville (Missouri) Regional, KTBN, formerly Forney AAF on Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.   Had to post these here to do justice to this stunning repaint.
