December 29, 200421 yr I am removing your three files in our library. If you wish to tie a "freeware" file to a pay for add-on, then you can do so hosting them via your site, and not use our bandwidth to make your sales.
December 29, 200421 yr They have now been removed after a couple of hundred megs of bandwidth used to sell his products. Raimondo will not be allowed to upload to AVSIM again. He can use his own bandwidth (and pay for it himself) in the future to sell his products.
December 29, 200421 yr Respect your wishes ! and no problems with me.my intention was to sell nothing - but just provide a good and accurate set of scenery for the usa - and get out of those default hugly looking scenery.best wishesRaimondo
December 29, 200421 yr Where can i find the freeware scandinavian waters, anyone know who made it.OHN

Your mileage may vary.>Actually, there's a better workaround than that of retaining the default files: download and use the Canada Roads System files from Joel Gill. You will now have the best of both worlds(countries) with their own roads except.....there's always an exception.....for B.C. and N.B. which Joel insists the data required is not free.
December 29, 200421 yr Naw... just both of us posting and editing at the same time. Sort of a virtual tripping over each other. :-) Be well,Greg

December 30, 200421 yr All,I agree with Tom's actions. Perhaps Raimondo should make the water package freeware as well and resolve the issue altogether.Frank C
December 30, 200421 yr >All,>>I agree with Tom's actions. Any repaint of a commercial release should also be pulled of the library instantly! FSUIPC...naw... ;-) Anyway - I really like Raimondo's usa roads (available at flightsim.com, still freeware, still best combined with his payware usa waters, still better than the default roads.) OK, I agree the marketing was a little bit over the line. But compared with other commercial approaches over the years I must say this was really a minor one. I look forward to have more freeware sceneries uploaded to the major FS sites from Mr Raimondo Taburet in the future.Ulf B
December 30, 200421 yr "I really like Raimondo's usa roads (available at flightsim.com, still freeware...."Excellent. Let Nels' pay for the bandwidth to support a 200 meg plus download for each user that want's a full copy, to find that it is "more preciese" with the waters textures too, which, oh by the way, are payware. :)

I think that most people that was able to download the scenery was perfectly happy about it as a stand-alone scenery. Sure - I read the marketing message in the read.me file and felt it was a bit too much. But still - the usa roads is worth downloading as a stand alone scenery if you have the bandwidth available. Is it worth to download if you only have a dialup connection? I wouldn't be the judge. Thanks to Avsim I've been able to download FSGenesis USA mesh. Over 400MB for the west coast - I never regreted that download ;-) But I'm a lucky guy with about 2MB download speed available.Anybody out there who disagree or agree that Raimondos usa roads is better than the default FS roads even if you don't use the payware waters? Opinions really wanted, because I don't want to continue this debate if I'm really off when liking Raimondos usa roads!Ulf BExcuse me for my bad english but I'm not a native american and make a lot of mistakes ;-)
December 30, 200421 yr If you are using his roads without the water, why don't you post some screenshots in the screenshots forum. I thought it was bad that the screenshots included with the download only showed the roads with the payware water scenery installed. Maybe you can prove the usa roads worthwhile with some screenshots, especially around areas with water.-John
