Guys, got for xmas the Logitech g930 wireless haedsets, want to know how to set all FSX sounds thru the headsets. All chose it to be the default , but still PMDG 737-900 nxg, sounds doesn't go all thru the headsets.

Need help to fix this

Are you on Windows 7?

 

Open the Sound options, right click on the volume then Playback Devices.

yes win7-64x did that , click playback devices, proprerties, advanced, gave priotirty to this device

The NGX has an option in the FMC to select the sound device that it uses. You'll have to change that to your new headset.

Ah, that could be it too.

 

But I thought the NGX auto detected whatever the default sound device is in use...?

Not on my system. Once set it keeps that device until I change it to something else.

The NGX has an option in the FMC to select the sound device that it uses. You'll have to change that to your new headset.

It did work, wow thx.

For those who don't to fiddle with the NGX settings.

 

Open the playback device manager and disable all but the device that you want sound to come from.

Here is something else you may find useful. (It did for my logitech headsets)

 

1. Right click on volume control and select "Sounds"

2. Click on the playback tab

3. Make sure your headsets are highlighted, then click "Configure"

4. Enable all of the speakers in the next few tabs

5. The "Sound" tab should still be up, in the "Sounds" box make sure your headsets are selected and click on properties

6. On the top, click the "Enhancements" tab

7. Check "Speaker Fill" and leave the other options unchecked

8. Click Apply then OK

9. (Optional) In the Sounds box, look for the "Communications" tab and check "Do nothing"

Click OK apply as needed 

 

I'm by no means an audiophile, but these settings seem to transfer over to FSX for my headsets. Hope you get the same results and if not, they are easily reversible!
