Orbx updates for P3D2 are coming

Recommended Posts

an update from JV

We have P3Dv2 installers coming for Australia SP4 this week, followed by all the NA regions in January, followed by NZ in late Jan, then we tackle the EU regions. Because the 3D lighting is replaced manually, it's a labour-intensive process but we want to add that tech at the same time as P3Dv2 support so that all our regions are fully patched up and in synce.

Then we'll commence releasing new stand-alone P3Dv2 installers for our older AU airports (free updates) and then begin to update our airports through 2014.

This is the main reason I'm a huge ORBX fan despite all the childish drama that goes on over at their forum. They have been mighty generous with upgrades, which protects our investments. I can think of a few other major developers who have been doing nothing else but trolling the developemnt of P3D and made all our FSX purchases a huge waste.

FTX NorCal is also coming out soon, so even without updates to their NA airports there's plenty to look forward to.

Finally we'll be able to see how P3D v2 functions with more stressful scenery (OOM's, FPS etc.).
