OpusFSX and volumetric fog in P3DV2

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Does the "Volumetric Fog" setting in P3DV2 need to be disabled when using Live Weather? I've noticed that visibility is almost always obscured when keeping this setting enabled and using the live weather engine (regardless of the actual conditions).

Thanks,

Dylan

No it doesn't but you must also set the Enable Volumetric Fog option in the OpusFSX Weather Preferences dialog.

Hence, with P3D v2 you must set or reset the Volumetric Fog options in both P3D and OpusFSX together.

Stephen :-)

You're welcome Dylan.

If you forget to set the OpusFSX Volumetric Fog option you are likely to see fog rising to high altitudes and not restricted to the surface layers.
