Well, Peter has allowed me to share, through PM, a link to the A320/21 manual for those of you who would like to get more insight about what and how the A321 is modelled.

Those interested, please PM-me and I'll send a link from where you can download a copy of the Manual.

The Manual is copyrighted, and should not be made available anywhere without previous authorization from Peter!

Hi, how do his updates compare with the Jardesign 2.1 updates?

Hi, how do his updates compare with the Jardesign 2.1 updates?

Hmmm, I don't really know exactly what you're asking, but what I know is planned to come with the 3d cockpit is certainly a LOT.

There are features / details modelled in Peter's A321/21/80 that the NEO does not model, and of course the opposite applies to.

In terms of flight dynamics and the modelling of the FBW system, I find Peter's aircraft closer to my own experience at the full flight simulator,

and through the oppinions of some fellow glider pilots who happen to fly buses for a living :-)

Thanks for your thoughts. If I could only buy one which one would you recommend? Would peter's 3D cockpit include pop-up displays and MCDU?

Also, this guy has done an excellent stream on the Jar. Just look at previous videos.

Christopher,

as far as I know the MCDU / FMC will not receive much updates. Route editing will basically be the same we have now, as well as other features like simple TOC TOD calculation. In that aspect, the NEO is still a better choice.

I am glad I have both. Both are converging toward excellent models, and I have an A320 and an A321 ( I hate to have two products for the same model... )

The NEO A320 is also receiving constant updates, and Romanov is always trying to do his best to address users complaints, suggestions.

But flying Peter's Airbus is a lot more smooth and realistic, at least for me, specially hand-flying.

I'll give it a try.

Did you see a "drag required" message ? Sometimes you have to add drag on your descent.

Also, most RL Airbus crew / operators choose to use Open Descent instead of Managed, and even manually control the restrictions, but that climb you describe is strange.

Since I have never flown around there, could you please:

1) attach your FSBuild root file ( fms I believe )

2) include the freq you used for the ILS

Thx!

I didn't see any "drag required" message. I was indeed using managed descent and had to ultimately adjust the vs to reach proper GS as the TOD given by FSBuild seemed to be too late. (26 nm before Sudsy) Here's the info:

1.) I can't attach a .zip or .fms file so if you copy the data below and paste into notepad and save as .fms you should have it.

Those shots are from back in November. Which means we are a heck of a lot closer to it being released!

Think I'm gonna buy this in the next couple of days ;) All the text in the cockpit is crisp with no blurries, and the switches and knobs are all in proportion.

Airbus FTW!

No worries. I flew it again and changed the alt. constraint at JEPHS to 6000 to match the real world plate as well as lowered the alt. at LECAR to 2500. I used an open descent instead of a managed descent and that worked like a charm. I still don't know what happened to the one flight where it just pitched up and started to fly off. That was strange.

Thanks for the pics of the 3D panel. That thing looks amazing!

Ah! Great!  IRL many crews / airlines opt for open instead of managed, and that's certainly for some good reason :-)
