With ASN "Disable Turbulance and Thermal Effects" in FSX weather settings?

Am I supposed to Disable this setting in the FSX Weather menu in FSX when running ASN?

 

Does ASN simulate these effects based on the weather independantly from FSX?

I believe it overrides those settings. The manual for AS2012 says you can disable them completely. Manual for ASN did not mention anything

I get nice ASN turbulence, up- and downdrafts with this FSX option DISabled,

ASN bypasses the FSX weather settings, so enabled or not will make no difference.
