Spirit Airlines A319 Off Taxiway At ORD

Recommended Posts

According to....well....this....a Spirit Airlines flight to Las Vegas, operated by an American Airlines MD-80, slid off a taxiway at Chicago O'Hare.

Another one like that happened at JFK also:

Probably a bit of ice on the taxiways. They do de-ice the runways, not sure if they are using it on Taxiways also or just clearing the snow.

I hear it is a deep freeze going on up there....Cheers

That is a file photo in the FOX article. If you look closely, you can see the "photoshop" work on the image to remove the American logos.

The Spirit aicraft involved was N502NK, an A319-132.

Do not believe everything you see and hear from the mainstream media regarding aviation stories. Stick with aviation related venues for correct aviation news.

Yes, I know it was an A319 that was involved, and I am aware they blurred out the American title and logo. The initial post was more of a joke, seeing as they put a plane that was obviously an American Airlines jet. Ironically, I found the link on another website, and THAT person had only posted it because the picture was just so wrong.

You may know that, but your post and topic title does not indicate it. The Avsim mind reading functionality is enabled at this time. :)

If I had made it any more obvious, it wouldn't be nearly as funny, now would it.
