RXP GNS530

Recommended Posts

Gents,

Has anybody else tried to install the RXP GNS530 in the C1900D? It seems both the CAR530.exe and RXP530.exe are the same file with different names which serve only to reinstall the Carenado GNS530.

Just got my copy, it has a working RXP530.exe, dated 01/07.

Others have reported an email patch from Carenado..  contact their support if required!

Suggest you add an rxpgns.ini file to the panel folder with the following content:

[GNS530]
Popup=10000
AutoPilotMode=2
Radios=1
LinkCdiKey=On
AutoApproach=Off
AutoCourse=On
LinkVor=1
LcdStyle=off
AutoWidth=500
AutoHeight=360
Trainer=
NoKeyClick=Off
DisableRxTx=Off
AutoPowerOn=On
GndSpdFromDeltaLatLon=Off
LinkGPS=On
[sETTINGS]
Dimmer=Off
SimpleMouse=Off
KeyOnFocus=On

If you have the Unlimited RXP version installed, you should

also add the traffic display

TCAD=On

Hi Bert do you mean add a separate file in the panel folder because I see one in the root folder of the aircraft and simple edit that one?

thanks

It can be in the panel folder or in the root folder for the aircraft.

If you have two (not a good idea..), the one in the panel folder will take

precedence.

BTW... if you would like the RMI to display the VOR1 direction,

even when the CDI is in GPS mode,  change LinkVor=1 to LinkVor=0

If I have the Unlimited 530 license can I put 2 530's in the virtual cockpit? Also with the RXP retrofit, where is the nav radio 2? I can only adjust nav radio 1 in both the RXP 530 and the lower nav radio both control nav radio 1.

To install a second 530, you would have to find a way to disable the Avidyne unit..

I do not believe that is possible.

The Collins radio is NAV2.

I removed the Carenado callout, by going to FSX\Sound\Carenado\CarSound1900D\ and renaming the callout wav file.

Would you guys recommend me to buy reality-xp to use with this aircraft?  Is it basically plug and play or do I need to mod some files like you guys are talking about?
