January 9, 201412 yr I just installed the free ORBX global airport packages and now I realize I have to have FTX running for them to show.I do not have FTX Global,I am using GEX and UTX.I do have all the FTX NA packages. So,my question is,is there a reason not to just be running FTX NA all the time even when flying out of the FTX areas? Also, unrelated,I don't see an option to search just this forum. The search option shows searching Google.Am I missing something here? Thanks,Ron Bring back Chief Illiniwek!University of Illinois.
January 9, 201412 yr Hi Ron, To search this forum, click on where it says "Google", and you'll see a drop down menu. When you're in say the main FSX forum, just select "This Forum". As for leaving the areas active: technically Orbx says if you're not flying in the area, you should have FTX Central set to default. When I only had the PNW, I always left it on and never encountered an issue. After installing EU though, I could not have EU active and fly outside it without issues. Try it out. Leave the PNW on and fly elsewhere. If you see texture or autogen issues, then you know you can't run it without FTX Central set to default. If it works just fine, then you won't have to touch a thing! Regards,Kyle

January 10, 201412 yr I don't think I've had a problem leaving NRM and CRM on, but I do believe in the newer regions that Orbx change the autogen and that can mess it up outside of FTX regions. So from what I've seen OK to fly in and out of FTX NRM/CRM but in general if you aren't in there just reset FTX Central to default. scott s. .
