Recommended Posts

Anyone else using P3Dv2 having a problem with a constant L AC BUS annunciation on?

Yep I am having the same trouble, I sent them a support about that.

yep - always stuck on for me. First flight I did it wasn't though so not sure exactly what causes it.

dam it's great to finally have a good quality B1900D though. This product has got heaps of potential if they add function to some of the dummy switches and circuit breakers.

If you don't turn on the L AC Bus switch (above the GEN & BATT switch), the red light will not come on. I'm not sure why that is. In the C model we don't have the AC Bus switch. Just the 1/2 invertor swtich.

The 1/2 switch is sort of the old way of doing things. With the new solid state inverters having an AC failure is a really rare event, but because the FAA says so there are two sources for AC power. Two separate switches each turning on the AC power for their respective bus is the new method of AC power in the Beech line. In the two switch case the #1 Inverter provides 115VAC and 26VAC to the #1 115VAC and #1 26VAC buses and the #2 Inverter provides 115VAC and 26VAC to the #2 115VAC and #2 26VAC buses. In case of a failure of either inverter the buses on that inverter will automatically switch over to the other inverter.

Carenado has this modeled incorrectly. The documentation I have on the system is a little vague but the RED Inverter Warning light should only come on when you have lost both sources of 26VAC due to the fact the Torque and Fuel Flow gauges are on this bus. Since AC lies and DC dies you need the light to know you have lost these gauges (although the digital gauges tend to die when they lose the signal.) You will also know you have lost AC power as the UNS-1 will also throw a caution stating 400hz Reference Frequency lost.

SP1 is already out and it fixed the L AC switch.

I purchased the aircraft yesterday from flightsimstores....... when I start up prepar3d both the left and right AC BUS lights are on.

When I turn off both switches as indicated above the warning light stays on.........

Does this mean even though I purchased the aircraft yesterday I do not have the service pack.

Is there a way I can find out if I have the service pack or not?

If you turn your head and look behind you, the bulkhead sign should say

"in back of the seat".

If it does, you have the SP.
