January 15, 201412 yr Author Popups are not undockable :-/ X-Plane 10 add-ons are becoming more and more sophisticated, but still far away from the features in functionality of use available for the best FSX add-ons. This will certainly change with time and new versions of X-Plane. Only popups FPD, ND (captain and 1st Officer side are independent, just as their APs in the systems simulation...), and in the next shot I show only the captain side: and Pedestal: OVH is made visible by shifting: Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 15, 201412 yr Swe, here are some pics... Are you getting that weird behaviour when you follow these steps? Yup. I'm doing it exactly like that. When I enter, say 370, into the FMC it just disappears in about a second, leaving only empty fields. EDIT: Solved it. Apparently there is some comflict with UFMC. Disabled that via the plugin manager, and that solved the issue! Now to find some performace sheets so I can enter some valid V-speeds. January 15, 201412 yr Author It seems that the issue is already known. Now I'm going to take this bad boy for a spin! Do it Richard :-) Try hand-flying it, but also an autoland, preferably with moderate / gusting winds! Ah! When landing, by default it doesn't come with the Aural " retard... retard...", but there are alternative sound files ;-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 15, 201412 yr I have sometimes found that uFMC does strange things, so I tend to prefer xFMC. The xFMC guys are working on an update/profile for the Qpac... http://www.x-fmc.com/forum/qpac-320-201

January 15, 201412 yr I am definitely with JComm on this one. The QPAC A320 is an absolute marvel of an aircraft. Man, I never thought I would actually buy a 2D-only aircraft. But this one is worth every penny. I am getting the later pro version of this beast even if it means I have to shell out $100 bucks. It is brilliant in its current state, wonder how good it will be further down the road. Highly recommended. Won't be spending much time now in the NEO (and I *really* like that aircraft). January 15, 201412 yr I'd be interested to confirm if the Qpac and Peter's A320 MCDU calculate the correct V-speeds and Flex for you. Pretty sure I read the former doesn't; what about Peter's? Does the JarDesign still require a manual flex calculation? Thx
January 15, 201412 yr Author In both the QPAC and Peters, you have to calculate your V-Speeds. I had the NEO, and it calculated the V-Speeds for the flex you set. It's automatic in the NEO, like for instance in the Aerosoft AXE for FSX, but that doeasn't mean it is realistic :-) As you know, the problem should take many parameters iunto consideration, including the rw you're using and it's state... Probably those add-ons do not go that deep... Also, do you know if one can get the coming versions by just paying the difference or do we have to buy the PRO version for full price later as well? This FAQ explains it all :-) : http://www.qpac-us.com/index.php/faq Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 15, 201412 yr I'm lazy so I want all that stuff calculated for me. I never knew what value to put in for flex on the Jar Neo so I just picked a number out of the air. Now that's not realistic!

That's exactly what I do :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
January 16, 201412 yr Michael, let's just say I have uninstalled the NEO... I appreciate the graphics, the nice animations of cargo, fuel, pushback etc... I even appreciate the more detailled FMGC/MCDU, but, I don't really find the way it flies / simulates the Airbus FBW anyway near what Peter's A321/21 and the QPAC A320 offer. Sounds good to me! Might have to pick up the QPAC at some point. I like the price tag for what you get too, I'm sure Peter's A320/321 are also really good but don't really understand why his are priced so much higher considering the features are very similar to the QPAC. This is something that's always bothered me about his models, I have his A380 (only the Qantas model) and sure it flies really nicely, but I just don't fly it due to the lack of systems and clunky interface. I'd rather fly the FF 777 for that price. He also charges in Euros for all his models and 50-70 Euro for me is a lot of money when converted to AUD (check www.xe.com/ucc and you'll know what I mean!). I'm lazy so I want all that stuff calculated for me. I never knew what value to put in for flex on the Jar Neo so I just picked a number out of the air. Now that's not realistic! I have a nice little app that does all those calculations for you including takeoff speeds, FLEX temp, and flap/trim position. You just need to give it area QNH, OAT, runway length, airport elevation and aircraft type. If interested send a PM and I can give a link to it (don't worry it's freeware, nothing shady). Michael R

I kept my A320 Airbus ( for the PC - early 90s ) simulator manual until I changed home recently, but then lost it :-( I have found some sources in the net, but that App would be GREAT to have!!! Thx!
