Triple -> Single Monitor Experiences

Recommended Posts

Anyone here go from a triple monitor setup back to a larger, single monitor? I currently have triple 25" monitors (in nVidia Surround) and considering moving to a single, much larger single display. With the cost of 4K displays coming down to reasonable levels, moving to a 50" single display seems appealing.

I'm curious if anyone who has gone from a triple display to say a larger 50"+ display (or short throw projector) regret it or not.

Thanks!

I did, and I can say it was a positive experience.

Track IR helps a lot, so you can still get an easy look to the side of your plane.

I mainly did it because you can get more performance out of your GPU (I fly X-plane which pushes the gpu alot), and there are no compatibility problems.   I used to fly FSX and some complex payware has a problem when you load up 2d panels.

I am now waiting on the oculus rift, which hopefully will have the best of both worlds.
