Eaglesoftdg just announced the Citation XLS+ is their newest project

Sounds like we could be looking at PMDG 777 type money for this bird. Honestly, I don't mind paying that for an add-on if its that kind quality. The only problem I've ever had with the CX 2.0 were that the VC looks dated in comparison to what's available now but that is really the only complaint. Every time I reinstall FSX, its usually one of the first that gets installed and flown to test my setup.

Bring on the XLS+ guys, you have a hardcore group of fans here waiting for it :)

There is a big spanner in the works though. If your comparing it $ for $ then you need to take into account the annual subscription for the WAAS data which will be around $40 PA.

PLS ignore all of the above if I have the Data thingy wrong !

Speculation can be fun or disappointing according to your outlook on life gentlemen.

Please do not project wild guesses about costs or feature sets without having the product's in hand for a realistic evaluation.

No price point is yet determined so please ... B)

I don't mind to be honest. This is a hobby for me and like all hobbies taken seriously, it does have a cost. If the XLS+ has system depth like the CX 2.0 with textures and a VC with PMDG or Carenado like detailing, I'm happy to pay for it. If it needs a $40 a year subscription for navy data, that's also fine. I can't help but wonder if this other nav data source will play a part in future ESDG products. If it does, then all the better.

One thing I would greatly appreciate is if ESDG would do a CX 3.0 with updated textures, especially for the VC with all the latest updates system-wise (where possible of course), available in the real Citation X. I'd but that for sure...

Sorry if this has been mentioned and I missed it...

What about the impact of modelling all that glass in terms of frame rate? I would imagine it's going to be quite a challenge in FSX?

There are ways to effectively remove the impact entirely....Whether the ESDG devs are familiar with them I do not know.

Drop over and get our CX2.0 or read a review of it. It runs four screens very well and folks are surprised at how little impact those four have on performance.

Same programmer who produces PL21 did the Honeywell Primus 2000 in the CX2.0 so you can know that we are indeed familiar with what we are doing from FADEC to VNAV.

Really really happy to see Eaglesoft back in action again ^_^

Would like to say that having an API that FS2Crew could use would be astounding as it would up the immersion level in the ESDG jets.

Sorry ES, I probably won't be buying this, and it's YOUR FAULT!

I have the CJ1+  V-1  and Citation X V-1 now and you made such wonderfull planes I have no need to upgrade!  I will however be watching :-)

Hans, IF it happens it will be after release as we don't want to slow production.

Couldn't possibly guess as to what they would need. If they wish to interact with an addon, perhaps they should provide information regarding what their software needs to 'see'??

I sent B. York @ FS2Crew an email two days ago as soon as ESDG announced the XLS+ project was a GO just as a heads-up. Maybe a few additional nudges will get him talking to ESDG.

Of course, it would be great if ES built in the Virtual CoPilot call outs like v2.0 of the CJ1+ in both models.
