There is a "Contact Us" link to the right of the $339 price tag, clicking on it leads to a "Suspended Form" message regarding the sites TOS.  Probaby won't stop them but it may slow them down.  Any smart flightsimmer will do some research and stay far away from this scammer.  There will be those that fall prey to this scam just like people do everyday to other scams.  Oli and others have worked hard to make life difficult for this jerk but I wouldn't let it consume you.  Once a scammer, always a scammer.  Karma will get him in the end.

So they suspend the form, but leave the site up? That....makes sense....

Apparently you need a Geography lesson, mate.

http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southwest_Asia

I spent thirteen years living in Tehran, Iran in my youth, and never once ever heard that area referred to as anything other than "Middle East..."

Wikipedia notwithstanding, back a few centuries ago, many Europeans did consider anything east of Constantinople to be "Asia..." If one goes by continental division, then it does make some sense though, although at one time even some of the Northeastern nations of Africa were once included in that category, despite them clearly being a part of the continent of Africa!

Here's to common sense prevailing.

These folks must have solved the riddle of "time travel."

Otherwise, how could they have won the "2004 Simflight Best Airliner" award...  :LMAO:

As I mentioned earlier the forms are provided by 123contact and that I had reported to them genuine simulations scam.

This was the message I recd in reply from 123contact:

"Hello,

Thank you for reporting this situation.

Unfortunately, we can't do anything regarding the website, but we can ask for further details and investigate the way our forms are being used.

If you would like, we can keep you updated on this matter."

As you can see 123contact are not responsible for the website but were being used to handle the forms. Obviously they do not like their service being used by scammers too.

The break up of the Ottoman Empire, and the fall of the Hapsburg's after the "Great War"  where states were born and others dismembered, so the world map redrawn, with countries emerging that had been absorbed centuries before.

GS will continue to hop from domain to domain and form provider to form provider because that's the way they operate. All we as a Community can do is to continue spreading the word on the various Forums, and keep hoping that someone won't get caught in their unscrupulous web of deceit. Yes, it's caveat emptor, but it would be unfortunate.

If really concerned beat them at their own game.

Use SEO tactics to make it so whenever someone searched for their company/product they arrive at a website like "GenuineSimulationsIsAScam.com"

Then use SEO to have it reach the top of Google for all key phrases related to them and their fake product..

Ehh just a thought.

Good idea. Except just point the URL to this topic or the article in the news system. It would be cheaper.

Hello Tom,

Why not pin this topic to the top of the forum? That way everyone who visits the FSX forum sees it.

Regards,

Ryan

Yes, all we can do by now is hope that no one will get caught by these retards. People with common sense will do a little research before blowing out 300+ USD into nowhere. Hopefully...   on the side of taking action, I must admit that I have to resign on this one. Sadly. But as said before, I am afraid that they will never stop. They will hop from provider to provider and keep going.

Honestly, I am really fed up with this. I will try to ignore it and continue with working on our "original" Airbus. I just hope... and I REALLY DO hope no one will accuse us of beeing involved in this s*** because GS is using our images. I know, people can be very creative when it comes to rumours and I have already read some concerning this issue - saying that they cooperate with us, sharing the money. Thats truly one of the most disgusting things I have ever read. Its a shame.

I will write the full story for Avsim's Wall Of Shame soon - and then I really hope it doesn't get worse than it already is.

Thanks for all your support!

Oli,

I would venture to guess that, with what's been written so far on the subject, that your Product is forthright and will not be confused with the 'other' Product.

It's ultimately on the End User to make the correct purchase, and to do their homework beforehand.
