Do you have a choice of what Drive to install Prepar3d on?

Recommended Posts

I just installed Prepar3D v2 on a computer with 2 hard drives. I have Windows7 op system on Drive:C and Other Flight sims on Drive: G. I wanted Prepar3d to be installed on Drive:G but I did not see any options on what drive it would be installed on. It installed on Drive:C Did I miss the options? Is there a way to install it on the Drive :G , instead on Drive:C

yes, I'm certain that you do.  I have my p3d v2 installed on my D: drive into a special folder there.   I don't recall at what point in the install that you get to choose, but you must have missed that option.

Thanks for your reply but would like it someone could tell me at what point in the installation this choice is given. If there I must have missed it.

Yeah, looks like you missed it.. It's been a few months since I installed it last, but it's there and not at all hard to find.

Hi,

I'm not absolutly sure, but it's in the 2nd or 3rd window after you click continue, but look at the bottom left portion of each window until you see the phrase "MORE OPTIONS" click on it, and you can then browse and choose the hard drive you wish to put Prepar3d on.

I have it on a WD 3 tb usb 3.0 drive.

Yes you can. At the beginning stage of the installation click the options and then chose the path for your P3D v2.
