There's a module required by many gauges called fssound.dll. It's required in the modules folder.Here's a link to a fairly current version of this module:http://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim//Fssound.dll-John

There are two other things you may need:1. You may need GaugeSound.dll placed in your main FS folder (NOT in the modules folder). If it worked in FS2000 and you don't have that dll file in the main FS2000 folder then this is probably not it.2. You probably need to move some sound files that the gauges use in your moved panel from the FS2000 SOUND folder into the FS2004 SOUND folder. I did all of that, and still no dice, but Tom, I have a question:"2. Unfortunately, there's no way to know which ones are needed - trial and error..."Ok, I duplicated all the sounds from the original FS2000's a/c's folder, and put them in my new a/c and the FS2004/sound folder too. But still the same problem. But I don't have FS2000 to get any gauge sounds up and running for this panel... so do I have to go and identify which gauges are creating this problem? Or could this be something else? I mean the popup happens even when I use the hatswitch just to look to the left or right, switch to the VC or switch back to the panel! AAARG! :D

In your reply to Tom's post, you don't mention if you downloaded the FSSound.dll and installed it in your flight simulator 9modules folder. FS9 also has to be restarted afterwards.-John

Well, yes I had done that, but it's ok I found the cause: the problem was

Hi,Glad you figured it out. The reason why your attempt to follow my instructions didn't work is that (as stated) the sound files used by that gauge are located in the *main* SOUND folder of FS, not the SOUND folder of the individual aircraft.
