Wow! DC-6B - Legends of Flight just $8. Is it worth it?

Obviously, I am not expecting anything better than the Comet, but what do you think for $8?

For $8 I'm going to get it!! Their DC-3 is pretty good aswell

I'm considering it as well. It looks nice, but the systems aren't study depth and the vc looks brand new which is a shame. A bit of dirt wouldn't go a miss!

However, I did see a topic on here recently that someone gave a load of edits to the aircraft file that made it a little more realistic, so that may be worth a search B)

I paid the full price for it as it was an aircraft I wanted for some time and there was no sign of the proposed PMDG DC-6B appearing. While, as I expected for a Just Flight product, it is certainly not even close to PMDG standards in terms of systems modelling, overall I have to say it is not bad and I have enjoyed flying it. If or when PMDG produces a DC-6B, will I buy it - probably yes - but in the interim for $8, I would say go for it! If however you want a classic large piston-engined airliner that you can fly by the systems, then think about the A2A Stratocruiser

On my list.

Picked it up for £5, less my loyalty point came to just £1.06 !  Only loaded and flew it for about 5 minutes  to make sure worked  ok on my Surround set up (it does)  , Looks like could be good fun, can even start it with my Saitek Switch panel, Not as complicated as the A2A COTS,so for me could be a good purchase.  Frame rates also seem very good

Their DC6B is not an absolute benchmark of quality or perfection but it's a very, very enjoyable add-on (with great sounds) especially if you're a huge DC-6 fan.

it's light years better than their comet, IMHO, which was an instant uninstall for me,

With the DC-6, I've added some additional sounds, RXP avionics etc, and it's one of my most used add-ons.  It's great for dragging around Alaska, while listening to the Travelling Wilburys.

...while listening to the Travelling Wilburys. :)

Sounds like fun.

But the 377 with Accu-sim would really say, "handle me with care..."  B)

I almost caved and bought this yesterday.. but so far I've been holding true to my New Years resolution to fly what I've got.  29 days into the year with no FS purchases is impressive for me!

Still not sure whether to be pleased or saddened with my stoic resolve!

   I like what you guys did there!

(And actually the only two Travelling Wilburys tracks I know!)

Waiting for the PMDG bird.  Will spend the $8 on lunch...

Have not been happy with any Just Flight purchases.  The Viscount did it for me.  FS2002 level virtual cockpit textures...just terrible.  So, I've vowed never again.
