February 13, 201412 yr Commercial Member Good work! With the Quadrants Filter you can uncheck the two top ones and the flights always go South, in direction that is. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 13, 201412 yr Everyone apart from kIngm56 will be interested to note that there's a lot more about the >augmented upgrade on the report page at the site. Also at the top of the page there is news on how progress is being made already with version [sg]. I'm just curious, how does it work with aircraft that use the CIVA INS, like the Captain Sim L1011? February 13, 201412 yr Commercial Member Can that load the FSX xml.pln or does it have a bespoke coroute file to load? Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 13, 201412 yr Ok, a little late maybe but I'm sold.. Purchased today! After 3 times evaluating Ideal Flight in a more than 2 years period, I find this tool indispensable for my FSX experience. Works great with FSEconomy too! You find the aircraft parked where you left it, in cold and dark state, at the time of day you landed. You just input your next FSE destination, exact payload & fuel, with a 'click' you have the flight plan ready and loaded, the briefing at your screen, and you are ready. Fire up FSE and have a nice flight! Nothing more, nothing less.. And you get a detailed flight assessment at the end of the flight. All these features in one tool. And the software has a ton other features, many of them I do not currently use. Can't wait to check some helicopter missions using the Dodo 206 or AS Huey or Cera 222 with HTR! And Steve's support is beyond awesome!
February 13, 201412 yr Commercial Member I'm just curious, how does it work with aircraft that use the CIVA INS, like the Captain Sim L1011? I'm not sure on that just yet as I'm looking into what FMS files to export over the next week or two, will let you know. Co route files are exported to the FMS folder in the format and naming convention required, so that the filename can be entered into the FMS and the co route loaded. Once the export object is created (very simple), these are exported each time a flight is built in IF10. Please send requests for your favourite FMC to be supported. Files supported for export at the moment with >augmented upgrade PMDG .rte v1 - J4100 PMDG .rte v2/3 - 737 PMDG .rt2 v1 - 747 QW .RTE v1 - RJ100 Level-D .rte v1 - 767 iFly .FLTPLAN v1 - 737 Airosoft Airbus X Extended .flp - AXE FS9 .PLN - FS2004 FSX .PLN - FSX .XML IFB .htm - IF Briefing IFBE .htm - IF Briefing Extra Large FSX .FLT - FSX Save Tower .FLT - FSX Save Arrival Tower .FLT - FSX Save files imported by IF10: FS9 .PLN - FS2004 FSX .PLN - FSX .XML and imported with >augmented: PMDG .rte v1 - J4100 PMDG .rte v2/3 - 737 PMDG .rt2 v1 - 747 QW .RTE v1 - RJ100 Level-D .rte v1 - 767 iFly .FLTPLAN v1 - 737 (some of these file types suite many aircraft) Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 13, 201412 yr Commercial Member CIVA INS Sorry, with you. Yes I haven't spent too much time considering this to be honest, rather I've only been considering aircraft with supporting co route files. It might be nice to start a flight with all the INSs set and calibrated with PI=0 and waypoints set ready to go, I don't know. Maybe starting with the coordinates entered would not take too much fun out of it. The addon would need to have the capability to read a file during startup that can be preset, I'll investigate. February 14, 201412 yr Can that load the FSX xml.pln or does it have a bespoke coroute file to load? I don't believe it can just load an FSX flightplan. I always just program the LAT and LON co-ordinance into the INS-CDU (it will take 9 waypoints at a time), but there is another way putting the flightplan into it, I just don't know how to use it yet. I haven't been using it for that long, but it supposed to be a very realistically modeled system. It works great in Captain Sim's 707 737 and L1011. It also is used for Flightsim Lab's Concorde. It has an Automatic Data Entry Unit (ADEU) Gauge, that can be used to quickly enter multiple waypoints, but I don't believe there is any way of just loading an FSX xml.pln file. http://www.simufly.com/ins/civa_updates.html Sorry, with you. It would be great to have the option of having the flight plan co-ordinates already loaded in, or being able to manually load them and just be able to start it in the IF senario. The CIVA is a very popular unit that can be used in many different aircraft, but is especially good with several of Captain Sim's old beauties. February 19, 201412 yr Commercial Member I've put the coordinates table into the Navigation Section, switchable on/off in Settings page (>augmented expansion pack only). Thanks again for the suggestion. This is how it looks in the briefing: Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 26, 201412 yr Commercial Member I just exported IF10's first Majestic Q400 file into the CDU :p0503: I don't believe it can just load an FSX flightplan... Hi Robert, The CIVA INS comes with an SDK and can save/load the set-up, I hope to provide programmed support for these in the very near future. Steve Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
March 23, 201412 yr Commercial Member I'm just curious, how does it work with aircraft that use the CIVA INS, like the Captain Sim L1011? Hi Robert, CIVA INS Support: There's a preview version [sg08] available on the forum New Builds section that exports the CIVA DME and Waypoint cards. These load up after setting the first waypoint. Hi Henri, MJCQ400 Support: Majestic Dash 8 owners will love the new file format that exports for loading into the Q400 FMC. Flying with the Dash 8 FMC fully loaded; a plan that includes user waypoints like TOC, TOD, FAF. Waypoints in the plan that don't exist in the Majestic AIRAC NavData set are also supported. Anyone that prefers to enter the waypoints by hand will find the User and Missing waypoints can also be entered as long as IF10 >augmented has exported the .fpr file.
