REX 4 Direct HD install problem

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I´ve just bought Rex 4 Direct HD from this website, and after 2 hours of downloading, i finally could click on setup.exe and run as admin. But then after 10 min. or so i got this error message:

the file "runway12.dds_24" cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file "rexte2.cab" This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

I tried to download the hole s*** again, and saved it into an other folder, but the same error again! So i hope some of you guys have an answer on this error, thank you.

Regards Noah

Sounds like a corrupted download,  would contact  the web site  reading  in the rexe forum, similar issues as you from same  web site.  If you got other issues post in the rexe forum  this is where you will get  the right support other  than in here

okay, i will try that. Thank you..

What program did you use to download it  and unzip  it  another issue  for large file  downloads,  usually it not recommended to use the standard unzip programs  that came with  the o/s. WinRAR is free to use  and can be downloaded from the net to unzip.

Edit I see that you posted this in the rex4 forum  so  tim will probably  ask you this question as well

After posting his issue in the rex4 forum his issue is now resolved,  david yes he did unzip it  in one folder and he used admin rights as well.   The issue was he used  the the web browser to download  the file  where he  should have used  another  download manager  to download  which he did and now he up and running  again

Thats right, found out that it was because that i´ve used google chrome to download it, that it won´t install properly. But i´ve then downloaded FlashGet 3 adn tried to download it all again, and then there was no problems, so if anyone else have the same problem, try to download FlashGet 3 and download it with that. Thank for all your help folks:)
