January 31, 201412 yr Well just one actually and in an American aeroplane! A Carenado Beech Baron B58, registration G-BLKY. Built in 1984, (we've got a recession, can't afford anything newer) she is owned by Kebbell Holdings Ltd of Watford but kept in Guernsey (EGJB) This is her: The pretend one: On AVSIM as and when. Oh and we come in peace. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

February 2, 201412 yr Moderator Hey Phil, do you breathe "aero" or "air?" We here in America just have better vowel movements than you Brits! :LMAO: Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
February 2, 201412 yr I had my left knee slapped pretty hard by the rear stick of a Chip a few years back, after I had said "plane" (Sir)... "It's an aeroplane, Johnson - a "plane" is a tool which is used by a carpenter. You may refer to it as an aircraft if you wish." Son-of-a-b.. gun. Never forgot it. pj Edit: Of course one might assume that American "airplanes" simply "plane" along the air - which we all know - is absotively, poselutely impossible - the correct reason being that all are simply sucked aloft by utilizing the gravitational anomilies of the moon.... i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
February 3, 201412 yr Huh? Ron, I read your post in which you entwined "aeroplane / airplane" in what I took to be an "European / American" jest - so I followed up with a similar jest using "Airbus" which is apparently a "consortium of European aircraft manufacturers" who feel they are in the forefront of the industry. They may have been in the news recently, which is why I thought to use the term. I'm sorry if it's dated and/or they're bankrupted. Mi bedaŭras.
February 3, 201412 yr Moderator @Paul J.: If the proper term is "aeroplane" then should not that be "aerocraft" as well? Consistency is not something for which English is noted though, since we drive on parkways and park on driveways... :Silly: Fr.
