February 7, 201412 yr Wow, phenomenal program, thank you for the heads up!! One quick question, is there a way to change the units permanently from KG to LB? I see the option for a unit converter but don't want to do that for every flight. Also, just did a quick test from KEWR-EGLL and it recomended in KG's ~ what I would normally take in LB's... 170,000 lbs from KEWR-EGLL is excessively high, even 145,000 lbs for enroute fuel is WAY high. Guess I will have to play around a bit... Thanks again, great find! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Admittedly all my flights so far have been fairly local (Virtual RYANAIR) but the fuel est has been spot on. There is also the possibility to use PFPX and import that plan using the custom button. February 7, 201412 yr Reading the small print on the website, I believe the 14-day trial period is free, after that it's payware. I haven't installed it yet so I can't comment, but you never know, it could be worth the $$$. hover lover, but...round motors rock and taildraggers rule!
February 9, 201412 yr Incredible program. Just wanted to say how much I enjoy it and how useful it is to hopefully spread more awareness about it. Its great! February 17, 201412 yr Update: Due to a Changelog-Entry called -Prerequesited for Try and Buy-, some users expect that using EFASS will no more be free in the future. So, here we will give a little statement on what awaits you and us. Every user can use EFASS on one PC for 14-days without being queried to pay for the software. After these 14 days, a small window will appear on startup that asks you if you want to continue using EFASS for free, or if you want to purchase. This window will be displayed for 1 to 3 minutes. If you decide to continue free, you will have to wait this time before you can continue and close the so called LockUp-Window. The window will appear from time to time during the EFASS-Session. This is the only restriction for free users. If you decide to support us and purchase EFASS, you will receive a Serial-Key via E-Mail. After entering this key into EFASS, the lockup window will permanently disappear and you can use the software without having to wait. This Serial-Key is connected to your EFASS-Account. The main payment method will be PayPal, other methods can be discussed individually. The final price is not clear at this time - We will announce it soon. We know that this step will not satisfy some users, but we always said that we will continue EFASS for free as long as we do not have any additional costs. Due to the growing community we now have reached the point where we have these additional costs, mainly caused by Internet-Traffic/Server costs - Each update of EFASS generates around 200GB traffic, the community grows every day, and the filesize with every update. Additional traffic is generated by the master server that supplies your EFASS always with the latest GFS/NAT data, Ground-Layout updates, Routes,...This is only one of many factors for us to do this step, but it is the major one. So, I hope this brings a little light into the dark.
February 17, 201412 yr Support has kind of disappeared. I know he said he had internet problems, but quite a few posts are unanswered. 10700k / Gigabyte 3060

March 2, 201412 yr I will give this a try and see how it goes. How much does it cost? -- edit just saw the last post Perhaps it will complement the free jeehell airbus flight management system (for cockpit builders!) Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
March 2, 201412 yr Just tried this out, played around -- very functional! Easy to use, and integrated support, and even a 'TELEX' chat system so you can setup flights with your pals! I will continue to evaluate, and most likely will be purchasing! Unfortunate that we still need to use programs like TOPCAT to calculate our V1, V2 speeds and load fuel into the aircraft -- wish we could have one program that does everything. March 2, 201412 yr I plunked down the cash for it also as it has been my mainstay since it was introduced.
