Oh well blows my theory then!!

 

Going back to EGCC gate 12 shortly just to see if it still happens....cant think of anything else to be honest.

My experience is tied to specific airports, notably UK2000 sceneries for EGCC and EGSS. Used both BAW and PMDG House liveries and both had failed doors at multiple gates. Now strangely, both worked at their EGKK and EGLL sceneries. More surprisingly, I've flown out of both EGCC and EGSS successfully in the past. I've made no changes to their sceneries or FSX in the interim. Doors also work fine at other FlyTampa, Aerosoft, FSDT and ImagineSim sceneries. Just left EGKK enroute MKJS with the BAW livery and had absolutely no problems with the doors. BTW I'm using the long-turn panel state. Very strange indeed.

So, what the difference then I wonder. Both have GSX and T7  both been to EGCC gate 12 one work one doesn't

This happened to me last night. I don't have GSX and I wasn't online either. No door controls worked. Also the right centre fuel boost pump was inop. I had no failures on but reset all anyway without success.

 

I tried reloading FSX and continuing from an autosave. The fuel pump started working but doors were still unusable. Reloading FSX and starting with a new flight cleared the problem. So I think my problems may have been panel state related.

 

First time I've seen this, quite a coincidence it happened to others at the same time too.

Hmmm...perhaps its a Boeing(PMDG)  maintenance fault..might need a fleet recall and new parts fitting to the fleet 

 

 

So how does a 'recall' work then, do we all have to fly back to HQ  for the retro fit  :rolleyes:

gate 12 no problems

Gate 83 no problems

Gate 43 no problems

 

What can I say.  I've changed nothing...oh well  move on until the next time!

I have the door issue too,

 

My temporary solution is to load the A/c fully running at a gate/stand and then to perform a 'short' shutdown, I then saved the panel state and tested it at various airports with various combinations of GSX running and not running, anyway, doors work fine! Obviously not an ideal solution but the problem seems to be deep rooted and beyond my already terrible technical knowledge, I'm sure it'll be addressed within SP1, until then try it out! hope it helps

This issue is going to be hard to track down since if its random  and  not  a hard fault cause which would make it a lot  easy  to fix.   Looks like so far   gsx is not  the cause of it,   uk 2000  scenery is not the issue.

It surely can't be a GSX issue because, as explained many times already on the forum, GSX won't ever try to operate the doors on any airplane. It will only READ their status.

So, as a general rule:

1) If you CAN open/close doors on any airplane, but GSX will still insist asking to open or close them, it is a problem of the GSX configuration for that airplane (is wrong, or it's missing)

2) If you CAN'T open/close doors in your airplane, it's never a GSX problem, and it's an issue with the airplane itself.

 

 

So that rules out GSX

_{Since I have the the PMDG 777, the only door I can open close from FMC is the first door left. It does not matter what livery. I cannot open or close any other door on page 1 or page 2. I do not have GSX.}

My work around to close them, was to assign key commands.

Hi,

 

First post but need some serious help with this issue. I recently bought the 777 and i was starting from a cold & dark state, APU on and running with my flight plan entered i went to the doors page to close and arm the doors. However i am presented with what was written in the first post in this topic of Armed, Armed, Open etc. down the left hand side of the FMC. It seems to just be displaying the status of the doors rather than options to do with them. Any ideas would be great.

 

p.s I do not have GSX
